Ciclopentasiloxane
Description
Cyclopentasiloxane is a crystal clear emulsifying gelling agent with 50% dispersion characteristics, a high molecular weight silicone surfactant. It is designed to prepare clear, low-viscosity silicone fluid gels that can incorporate up to 20% of oil-soluble ingredients (such as mineral oil), esters, and organic sunscreens; on the other hand it can also be used to provide water-in-oil or water-in-silicone emulsion systems in order to deliver non-polar and polar ingredients which result in a thicker cream compared to water-in-silicone emulsifiers.
